(Biblical Training by Timothy Tennet): In this course, you will gain a comprehensive understanding of Islam, its origins, and its core beliefs and practices. You’ll explore the Five Pillars of Islam, the Qur’an, and the Hadith, and learn about the major Islamic sects, including Sunni, Shi’a, and Sufism. The class will also discuss Islam’s relationship with Christianity and Judaism, highlighting the importance of interfaith dialogue. Finally, you’ll delve into contemporary issues in Islam, such as the role of women, Islamic law and human rights, and the interaction between Islam and politics.

Essentials of Islam

(Biblical Training by Timothy Tennet): There are seven messages that will introduce readers to the historical context, key tenents of the Muslim faith, distinctions and divisions found within Islam, and a basic strategy for engaging Muslims with the gospel.

The report was drafted by members of the “Mini-Consultation on Reaching Muslims,” under the chairmanship of Mr. Bruce J. Nicholls, who also served as International Co-ordinator of the pre-COWE study groups on Muslims.
